After wowing motocross riders with the 1973 CR250M Elsinore, Honda sought to do the same in the world of enduro with the MR250 Elsinore.
The core of the bikes were the same, but the MR differed with a carbon steel frame instead of chromoly, as well as an engine tuned for woods work with a larger flywheel, lower compression, porting changes, and wider gears in the transmission.
To make it a proper enduro, Honda gave it a speedometer, trip meter, lighting, and a 3.4 gallon gas tank which afforded nearly 100 miles of range when you weren’t racing.
Manufactured in December of 1975, this example is VIN: MR2501008547.
The odometer shows 1,936 miles.
Modifications:
It is missing the air filter and the throttle tube is loose.

Inside of the tank:
It is riding on Kenda tires that have aged out.
