Click here for an CycleVIN Motorcycle History Report on this 1981 Kawasaki KZ750. Additional photos are available here for your perusal.
In 1980, Kawasaki was offering two significantly different bikes with the same name: KZ750. The KZ750 “G” featured a parallel twin and had been around since 1976, but new for this year was the inline four-powered “E”.
The “E” was the one you wanted – as Cycle World put it, the four-cylinder KZ750 was “the quickest 750 this magazine has ever tested and the lightest 750 multi available.”
This example is VIN: JKAKZDH16BA029352. The seller acquired it from a relative in Washington state four years ago.
During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 1,000 miles. The odometer shows 6,756 miles.
Modifications: the seller (J/S Customs) turned this into a restomod project, featuring:
Custom painted tank and sidecovers.
Replaced front and rear brake master cylinders, rebuilt brake calipers with new seals and pads.
The seller also flushed all the fluids and replaced the filters. He notes that the drivetrain is stock, he did not modify the carbs, air intake, or exhaust. “All work done by me except paint and upholstery.”
Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the photo album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
It is riding on Kenda Challenger tires from 2018.
The sale includes two keys (a spare is in the seller’s posession).
The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues. He is selling it as he does not ride anymore. Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Kawasaki is offered on a clean Washington title.
