A year after Suzuki changed the sportbike game with the GSX-R750 in 1985, they rolled out the big brother GSX-R1100. The press and the public ate it up, but that didn’t stop Suzuki from making changes every single year.

1990’s “L” model brought a longer (+1.4″) swingarm, improved suspension, and new Michelin tires. The engine put out 143 horsepower to motivate a claimed dry weight of 462 pounds.

Manufactured in September of 1989, this example is VIN: JS1GV73A3L2100223, Engine #: V710-105717. The current seller purchased it from the original owner in 2019.

During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 1,000 miles. The odometer currently shows 11,627 miles.

Maintenance:
The seller states that he had all of the fluids changed, the carbs cleaned, and a new chain installed. He states that there are no known mechanical issues, the bike is fully serviced and ready to ride.

Modifications:
PM wheels.

Mikuni flat slide carburetors.

Fox Racing shock.

D&D exhaust, battery tender lead.

Targa tinted windscreen, aftermarket turn signals.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller notes “a few light scratches and chips as well as a repaired crack in the upper fairing.”

It is riding on Michelin Pilot Power tires with date codes of 2614 and 3414.

The sale includes one key, the owner’s manual, and several extras/take-off parts.
