A year after Suzuki changed the sportbike game with the GSX-R750 in 1985, they rolled out the big brother GSX-R1100. The press and the public ate it up, but that didn’t stop Suzuki from making changes every single year.
1990’s “L” model brought a longer (+1.4″) swingarm, improved suspension, and new Michelin tires. The engine put out 143 horsepower to motivate a claimed dry weight of 462 pounds.
Manufactured in September of 1989, this example is VIN: JS1GV73A3L2100223, Engine #: V710-105717. The current seller purchased it from the original owner in 2019.
During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 1,000 miles. The odometer currently shows 11,627 miles.
Maintenance:
The seller states that he had all of the fluids changed, the carbs cleaned, and a new chain installed. He states that there are no known mechanical issues, the bike is fully serviced and ready to ride.
