Kawasaki updated their standard ZX-7 sportbike in 1993 with ram-air induction and the upgraded pistons and cams from the previous year’s “R” special. That gave the 1993 “R” a better platform to improve upon, adding trick components like an adjustable swingarm pivot.
Other notable upgrades that riders got to enjoy with the “R” included: Aluminum gas tank, solo tail, compression and rebound adjustability in the 41mm front forks, remote reservoir shock, 39mm Keihin FCR flat slide carbs with a supplemental hole in the right side fairing for adjustment, and a close-ratio transmission.
This example is VIN: ZX750M002074. The seller has decided to list it to reduce his collection and states, “It has original paint, alll original parts including the rear fairing. It is the rare European red version. Very clean!”
The odometer shows 21,318 kilometers (13,246 miles).
Maintenance:
Per the seller, “It was displayed in the show room, therefore will need a battery, fluid change and most likely a carburetor service.”
Modifications:
Not shown: Lucas brake lines.
It is riding on Michelin Pilot tires with date codes of 1308 and 4308.
The sale includes one key, original brake lines.
