Description

4/22 Update: The seller just left a comment with an update to this bike:
While moving the bike, I bumped the front turn signal and in doing so the “flange” which normally dry rots; cracked and therefore the turn signal stalk broke. I am including with the bike a brand new aftermarket turn signal which looks just like the factory unit. There was NO damage to anything else. The rubber flange on the turn signals turns brittle with time. Do let me know if there are any questions whatsoever!

The 1996 and 1997 models were the last of the carburetor-fed bikes in the GSX-R line. The 1996 was the T model and the 1997 was the V model.

Beginning in 1996, Suzuki introduced the new SRAD (Suzuki Ram Air Direct) GSX-R750. They replaced the cradle frame from the early GSX-R models and introduced a twin-spar chassis developed from their RGV 500 Grand Prix machine. This, along with their indestructible DOHC in-line 4 and sculpted bodywork made it nothing less than a track thoroughbred of the day.

A new, compact and lightweight engine incorporated magnesium covers on the cylinder head, starter motor and clutch cover to help reduce weight and give maximum benefit to the increased power output of 128 hp.

The seller of this SRAD (VIN: JS1GR7DA1V2102624) bought it roughly 18 months ago from a private party in Michigan.

Since then he’s covered less than 100 miles. The odometer shows 26,332 miles.

Per the seller, “the bike has undergone a light restoration including a repaint in factory colors (bodywork is original), cleaned tank, new fuel pump, tapered steering stem bearings, wheel bearings, powdercoated wheels, brake pads, brake fluid, oil change and filter, radiator flush and fill, carb clean, etc.”

This bike runs flawlessly and is a blast back in time. She is a stunner!

It is upgraded with a Micron full exhaust and jet kit. The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues.

There’s also a Lockhart Philips Speedscreen.

Cosmetically, the seller specifies that “the plastics are factory but have been repainted. There are a couple small spots in decals on the rear.”

Currently located in Waxhaw, North Carolina, this SRAD is offered on a clean North Carolina title. Have any GSX-R stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the comments!
