Description
Additional photos of this Ducati 999S are available here for your perusal.
After a long series of 916-based superbikes, Ducati dramatically mixed things up styling-wise with the vertically-stacked lights and double-sided swingarm of the 999 in 2003. The styling was polarizing but the riding experience was not. And while the base model was a quality machine, the up-spec S model came with a slight bump in power/torque (141 hp, 82.5 lb-ft), Ohlins 43mm forks, and the option for a second seat (“bi-posto”).
This example is VIN: ZDMH400AA3B004447. The seller acquired it six months ago from a private party.
During his ownership, the seller has covered 50 miles. The odometer shows 35,423 kilometers (22,010 miles).
Maintenance:
“OEM cambelts, oil change, brake/clutch fluid, new chain.”
Modifications:
Custom race exhaust with SC Project silencer.
LED taillight with integrated turn signals.
Brembo Monobloc front calipers, Brembo race front brake discs.
Brembo RCS brake and clutch masters.
There are several modifications that are OEM Ducati but for different models:
1098S Ohlins fork and rear shock.
1198S swingarm and Marchesini forged rear wheel.
749R side fairings, front fairing and front subframe – full carbon OEM parts.
Panigale rear subframe and rear fairing.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller says, “generally speaking it’s in really good condition. It has some small chips on the front fairing, some marks at the foot rests and exhaust. The rims have some marks and there’s a very tiny mark on the fuel tank.”
It is riding on Pirelli Angel GT tires from 2018.
The sale includes a cover and several stock parts.
