The original “Master of Torque”, Yamaha’s MT-01 was never officially sold in the US. But other lucky markets were able to buy it between 2005 and 2012, and it was a fascinating combination of a monster 1,670cc cruiser V-Twin motor in a large naked sportbike package.
The seller of this example (VIN: JYARP14N66A000128 Engine #: P615E-010670) purchased it one month ago from Poway Powersports in Poway, California.
He’s covered 10 miles with it in that time, and he’s selling it because he just wanted to sample it and now is moving to “something else equally unique.” The odometer shows 15,454 kilometers (9,602 miles).
The seller states that it has ported heads.
Akrapovic full exhaust.
Carbon fiber guards and covers.
Rizoma fluid reservoirs and ASV levers.
Bar end mirrors.
Aftermarket swingarm spools and Supersprox sprocket.
Moto-Master rotors and Goodridge braided brake cables.
Rizoma turn signals.
The tires are from 2019.
The sole cosmetic blemishes appear to be scratches on both sides of the swingarm.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Yamaha is offered on a clean California title with registration current through July 2021.
