The Kawasaki Ninja 250 has launched the careers of countless motorcyclists and has earned its place in hearts of riders worldwide. It started in 1983 as the belt driven EX250-C before being rebranded as the Ninja, and while it has changed over the years it has maintained a balance between sport and standard that has made it attractive to so many different types of riders. 1986 came with an update to chain drive and the name of Ninja 250R in the US – we got that bike for over two decades with barely any changes.

In 2008, Kawasaki updated the model with much more aggressive styling, a heavily updated (more than 70%) engine, new dual-piston calipers, 37mm Showa fork, Kayaba shock, and 17″ wheels.

For years, this was the only quality option for an American rider looking for a 250cc sportbike. As Motorcyclist magazine summed it up: “it’s more than a great beginner’s bike. It’s a great bike, period.”

Currently located in Panorama City, California, (please make an appointment for an inspection) this Kawasaki is offered on a clean California title with registration that expired in May 2024. Per the California DMV website, it would cost $494 to make registration current through May 2026.
