Introduced for the 2011 model year, the Monster 796 was designed to be a Goldilocks bike for riders who thought the 696 was too small and the 1100 was too big.
It featured the 803cc motor from the Hypermotard in the Monster 1100 frame. Rated at 87 horsepower and 58 lb-ft of torque, the engine was paired with a slipper clutch and six-speed transmission.
It’s equipped with several extras, including a QD exhaust.
The sale includes several receipts, which show work that includes (among other things) the 600 mile service, 7,500 mile service, a new clutch along with clutch/brake fluid flush (July of 2018), and the 15k service. It recently had the front and rear brakes flushed at Beverly Hills Ducati, and it got a brand new chain/sprocket as well as an oil change and oil filter.
The seller states that he rides this bike once every three months and it is otherwise kept under a cover in his garage. He has just paid it off and it was waiting on the title from the bank – however the seller works for AAA and will personally arrange the title transfer for the winner if desired.
