2014 was the final year of production for the Panigale 1199, a huge step forward that was wildly different from its predecessors with the new Superquadro engine and ‘frameless’ design. It was the first of the Panigale series, and it was as fast as it was beautiful. But in the world of racing, fast isn’t enough – and that’s why this bike has been worked over by Italian Ducati specialists Barni Racing.
This example is VIN: ZDMH900AAFB000242. The seller purchased the bike new from a Ducati dealership in 2014, and then had it built to Barni Racing specs by a Barni Racing technician.
The seller notes that the chassis has 3,500 kilometers (2,174 miles) and the suspension has less than 1,200 kilometers (745 miles) since it was rebuilt. “Full maintenance was performed after each race.” The 225hp engine (from Xavi Fores’ 2017 WSBK) and EVR clutch/clutch basket have roughly 435 miles on them.
Modifications:
The list of upgrades is quite impressive – the seller states that “the only stock Ducati parts are the rear brake disc, rear brake, and top triple tree. Everything else is from Barni Racing and used as by Barni.”
Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller notes “normal wear and tear” from racing.
Currently located in Sankt Anton, Austria, this Ducati is offered on a clean Italian title. Have any Panigale or Barni Racing stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
