Multistrada translates to “many roads” – a very fitting name for such a versatile motorcycle. It debuted in 2003 as a pavement-focused adventure bike, and has evolved into one of the fastest ways to cover miles on two wheels. In 2010, Ducati introduced the Multistrada 1200, which was powered by a revised Testastretta motor as found in the 1198 superbike. The comfortable ergonomics and prodigious power make for a machine that’s easy to ride quickly – the 1200 Multi won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2011 and 2012.
The “S” model got upgrades over the base model including standard ABS, electronic suspension, and by 2017, a full-color TFT. The “Touring” package increases versatility with side bags, heated grips, and a centerstand. The four different electronic modes (Sport, Tour, Urban, and Enduro) hint at the different personalities that lie within – it’s almost like having several motorcycles in one.
This Ducati (VIN: ZDM12BWW6HB019386) was a demo unit at South Sound Motorcycles in Fife, Washington, where it accumulated 1,334 miles while presumably motivating some riders to buy Multistradas!
It is offered on the original MSO as it has never been titled. Please note that there is no longer a warranty (Ducati activates warranty on demo units once the bike is put into service). The dealership is not adding any fees, though if the winner is in Washington state they will need to collect 10.2% vehicle sales tax. It is the buyer’s responsibility to handle licensing and registration. Original MSRP was $21,895 plus freight and handling, but the reserve reflects a significant discount. This Multi has been given the break-in service and one annual service.
This listing presents the opportunity for you to experience all four versions of the Multistrada in one at a heavily discounted price from MSRP – those savings will pay for a lot of gas and memories on the multitude of road trips you can enjoy with this versatile Ducati.
