After wowing the world of motorcycling with the S1000RR, BMW has created several higher-spec variants over the years such as the HP4 and HP4 Race. They also recently introduced a “M Package”, but the most recent evolution is the M1000RR.
As MCN puts it, the M1000R “has a sole purpose in life: to be the starting point for a better race bike. After two years running the latest generation S1000RR in everything from WSB to superstock, BMW decided it needed changing around a bit. So, the M1000RR’s engine is stronger and more tuneable, the steering geometry is tweaked and it’s sprouted wings, Nissin brakes and lots of M badges.”
According to the BMW website: “To celebrate the World Championship title, BMW Motorrad collaborated with the Toprak Razgatlıoğlu to create the M RR WSBK CHAMPION EDITION 2024. With a limited run of 54 motorcycles (what else could it be), this Superbike features some impressive details. The Limited Edition is a tribute to the outstanding season Toprak has just completed, as it is based on the original bike that he rode to win the World Championship title: The M 1000 RR with M Competition package.” This bike was raced for WSBK team Alpha Racing which is a German racing parts supplier who is partnered with BMW Motorrad WorldSBK team.
