With performance and comfort at the forefront of its design, the BMW F800ST was first made in 2006 as part of BMW’s Motorrad F-series lineup. The BMW F800ST is powered by a liquid-cooled, 798cc parallel-twin engine with four valves per cylinder that produces a maximum power output of 85 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 63 Nm (46 lb-ft) at 5,800 rpm.

As RoadCarver phrases it in their review of the bike, “The BMW f800 ST is precisely the sort of bike you can get the most out of.”

The seller is the original owner and purchased the bike new from Honda of Hollywood in Los Angeles, California, and states, “I have loved this bike. Great for the city, but have also done big roadtrips to WA, NV, AZ. Utterly reliable."

Maintenance:

Going live second for Iconic Motorbikes today: a highly stock GSX-R1000 that sports engine sliders and under 7,000 miles on its clock! This iconic Suzuki's from 2001 and it's available for bid now on Iconicmotorbikeauctions.com

After approximately a decade and a half with the GSX-R1100 being the top of the Gixxer lineup, Suzuki introduced the all-new GSX-R1000 for 2001. Journalists felt it was the first bike to compete with Yamaha’s revolutionary R1 of 1998, and Suzuki was able to top the R1 with less weight and more power (374 pound dry weight, 160 hp/81 lb-ft at the crank).

As Visor Down put it in its used review: “Famous for its staggering performance the GSX-R1000 may be. But behind the supercar-slaying speed lurks a much more relaxed animal that fits into the real world quite nicely. And on that basis the rapid all-rounder might be a bit more suited to your needs than you’d expect.”

The seller purchased the bike in Japan from the original owner and subsequently sent it to Iconic. He states, “Bought it as an example of a first year K1 GSX-R1000 but does not really fit in with my 240/400cc JDM collection. This was the bike that set a new standard in liter bikes, like the 98 R1 and 92 900RR before it. This is an original low mile unmolested example, originally a Canadian model, it was a new re-import to Japan because it was full power when the JDM version was restricted."

Per the seller, “In December 2024 pretty full service on the bike. New NGK spark plugs, injectors and fuel pump were pulled off bike and cleaned, injectors flow tested. New Eneos 10w-40 oil and OEM Suzuki filter, fresh DOT4 brake fluid flush and fill front and rear, all of this work has less than 25 miles on it, just before sending to Iconic. Runs and rides great, tires are getting a bit old as is the chain.”

In preparation for the listing, the seller had us perform a safety inspection.

Introduced in the latter-half of 1999 as a 2000 model, the Honda RC51 was a big-bore V-Twin superbike created to put an end to Ducati’s reign of supremacy in production-based racing. The RC51 featured a powerful liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 999cc, 90-degree, DOHC V-Twin paired with a six-speed transmission and an aluminum alloy twin-spar frame. Honda achieved some impressive results with its “Ducati killer” in the form of World Superbike Championship titles in 2000 and then later in 2002 — the same year the RC51 was ridden to an AMA Championship.

Moriwaki Engineering is a Suzuka, Japan based manufacturer or motorcycle performance parts and accessories. It was founded by Mamoru Moriwaki in 1973 who was a former racer for Hideo “Pops” Yoshimura in the 1960s (and actually married his eldest daughter). In the 1980s the company built a strong relationship with Honda and became the first outside firm allowed to use one of Honda’s racing engines. FAst forward to the 21st Century and Moriwaki competed in the premier MotoGP class with a Honda RC211V motor in a Moriwaki designed frame from 2003 to 2005.

The exhaust was sent to Iconic from Japan and the seller states, “This is pretty rare Ultra high mount Moriwaki MP-101 badged slip on exhaust for the Honda RC51 VTR1000 SP-1. This will fit 2000-2001 RC51, will also fit the SP2 if you use an SP1 header. Good used condition, and comes with a new reproduction set of the standard Moriwaki badges. This set was originally on one of the rare MP-101 Moriwaki SP-1s.” This set comes with extra decals and a mounting instruction manual.

“And it wasn’t just skin deep. The four valves per cylinder desmodromic V-twin measured 916cc and produced 114 crankshaft horsepower, with torque from tickover.”

The odometer shows 5,871 miles. The seller purchased the bike approximately seven years ago and has covered about 100 miles during his ownership.

This one has been with us for a while. It wouldn’t run and the dash wouldn’t work…plus some other issues.

It’s clearly a runner now! The dash is working but still issues with the tach.

I can wholehearted say that Bimotas have MORE than there fair share of electrical issues.

Please Note: The seller of this bike is Iconic’s own Olly’s father. Olly notes his dad is 79 this year and bump starting a two-stroke track bike in freezing cold England isn’t as easy for him as it used to be! As you can imagine, the man who got Olly into racing in the first place knows how to care for a bike and this one is in proper condition.

Ever since its introduction in the early 70s, Yamaha’s parallel-twin TZ racers were a popular choice for privateer racers. The 80s were full of significant updates for the model, including reed valve induction in 1985 and the Deltabox aluminum frame a year later.

The 1990 model has slightly smaller crankcase and a stronger water pump but ultimately became the final year of the parallel twin engine. Yamaha had been successful with its YZR250 in GP racing and the following year saw a complete revamp of the platform, merging proven racing designs of the YZR with practicality of the TZ. The seller acquired the bike five years as a part exchange against a newer TZ250 4TW and states, “I’ve loved this model and always wanted one just for fun, if only to fire it up.” True mileage unknown.

Maintenance:
Per the seller, “Over the time I’ve owned it, the bike was stripped and the chassis and swingarm were cleaned. New bearing fitted in swingarm and head stock. Carbs serviced. Samco hoses installed.”

Modifications:
“The previous owner installed 3TC pistons and heads. The bike’s been resprayed.”
The sale includes bodywork, seat, sprockets, carb jetting, numerous gaskets and O-rings, original shock, two exhaust silencers, service manual, parts manual.

Honda’s NSR250R was sold from ’87 to ’99, and was pretty much the defining 250 racer replica over all those years. To celebrate Honda’s success in racing in the 250cc and 500cc classes, they would occasionally release a limited edition of the NSR in Repsol livery.

According to nsr-world.com “Throughout its years (1994-1999) the MC28 remained virtually unchanged mechanically, and all three standard models were still available; the R, the SE, and the SP. The 1994 SP was again released in Rothmans colors, with a limited run of 1500 bikes, and in 1995 another 1500 limited edition SP’s were released in HRC Racing colors. In 1996 the R model was discontinued, and only the SE and SP were sold. Only 1000 SP’s were built, and were painted in Repsol colors to commemorate Mick Doohan again winning the World GP championship title.”

These unique wall art tanks are produced by Parc Ferme Moto Art. The Ducati 750SS is widely considered to be one of the most instantly-recognizable motorcycles of all time. Whether it’s because of the swooping front fairing, the eye-catching frame azzurro metallizzato (metallic blue), or the curved Conti mufflers, it’s truly an iconic piece of two-wheeled exotica. Even more important than its good looks, though, was the way that it altered the very course of Ducati’s history.

That all changed come 1972, when race fans finally had the opportunity to watch the best of the best battle it out at the inaugural Imola 200. Competitors lined the grid on bikes representing everyone from Moto Guzzi and MV Agusta to BSA and Triumph to Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki — each one a dominant presence at Daytona. With Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari leading the team, Ducati pulled off the seemingly impossible: a resounding 1-2 victory.

Both bikes used the square case motor, and they’re especially desirable in the US as Ducati never officially sold any here – you won’t even find a road test in any American motorcycling magazine of the time.

This example was imported from Argentina and then restored by noted Ducati expert Roy Kidney in 2002. Since then, it has been stored dry on display.
