A naked variant of the VJ21 RGV250, Suzuki’s Wolf was never officially offered in the US. Beyond the obvious lack of bodywork, the Wolf got a different front fork, front brakes, gear ratios, plus the headlight/turn signals. Suzuki also painted the engine black as it was more visible without the bodywork.

The model was introduced in 1988 but Suzuki gave it several minor updates for 1989, with changes including a revised 2nd gear ratio and modifications to the carbs and CDI. They also added a new third color option: Light Charcoal Metallic.

The liquid-cooled 249cc two-stroke engine was rated at the same 45 horsepower of its fully-faired brother. Dry weight was just 275 pounds.

This example is VIN: VJ21A125568. The seller acquired it in 2011 from a private party in Canada.

During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 2,000 miles. The odometer shows 20,691 kilometers (12,856 miles).

Maintenance:
“New chain and sprockets. Replaced clutch complete, water pump assembly, clutch cover gasket and transmission fluid. Air filter. Tires.” The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues.
Modifications:
Jolly Moto expansion chambers and carburetors rejetted. Upgraded larger petcock.

It is riding on Pirelli Sport Demon tires with date codes of 3323 and 4123.

The sale includes 2 ignition keys as well as the original exhaust and passenger foot pegs and a lower cowl.
