When Ducati debuted the original Multistrada in 2003, the bike made for a dramatic departure from the firm’s usual offerings. Named after the Italian word for “many roads,” the model combined a unique aesthetic penned by Pierre Terblanche with comfortable touring geometry and luggage hauling provisions.

In 2018, Ducati upgraded the model with the 1,262cc engine from their xDiavel, yielding a healthy 158 horsepower and 96 foot-pounds of torque. It was well suited for road use, producing 85% of max torque from just 3,500 rpm.

The base model was well-equipped, but the upgraded “S” spec got you Brembo M50 monobloc calipers with larger front rotors, a quickshifter, LED cornering lights, TFT dash, and Ducati’s electronic Skyhook suspension by Sachs.

In MCN’s words, “it’s not cheap, but it’s a genuine do-anything superbike.”
