Husqvarna introduced the SMR 510 in 2005, two years after the model debuted with a 450cc motor. With a 12.9:1 compression ratio, the 510 produced a healthy 53 horsepower – all in a bike that weighs just 260 pounds! As befitting such a high-performance machine, the components are all top notch: 41mm Keihin carb, Brembo brakes, and Marzocchi suspension.
This SMR (VIN: ZCGAFEHB66V400084) has 11,284 miles and it’s offered on a clean California title with registration through April 2020.
The seller acquired it as a trade-in and as such there isn’t much history. With that said, the seller had us perform $1,139 worth of work in October of 2019 and now it’s a great runner. The work included a repair of the stator cover, new Michelin Power RS tires and tubes, new mirrors, a fork service with new seals and Motorex fork oil, steering bearings, new battery, an oil and chain service, new air filter, and more. In addition, it’s equipped with a Yoshimura exhaust:
ASV levers and Acerbis handguards with optional integrated LED lighting:
The only known issue is that the horn does not work. Our White Glove service would be glad to address this for the buyer if desired. The 510 was the big boy in Husky’s SM-R lineup in 2006, right before the company was sold to BMW in a chapter of their history that they’d like to ignore. High performance supermotos like this are some of the most fun you can have in an urban environment – but you can’t hold us responsible for the tickets you start getting!
