The 916/996/998 design is considered by many to be the most beautiful motorcycle ever built, and it has held up extremely well. Ducati’s internal celebration of the lineage was the 998S Final Edition (FE) – as the name implied, it was the end of the line. It was also only available by special order. We’ve heard (unofficially) that just 562 monoposto FEs were built.
The 998S FE was available as a monoposto or biposto. Cosmetically, it got a small “FINAL EDITION” script underneath the model name on the side fairings…
…and a tricolore on either side of the tail.
Many Ducatisti love this final form as it has all the mechanical updates Ducati applied over the years but still retains the iconic styling before they went a little crazy with the 999.
Mechanically, the FE featured the 136 hp Testastretta motor, Brembo brakes, and fully-adjustable Ohlins forks/shocks/steering damper.

The odometer shows 9,330 miles. The seller is the second owner, and he put approximately 2,000 miles on it.
It is equipped with a significant amount of extras, including a EVR clutch pressure plate and Speedymoto clutch cover.

Overall, it is in excellent condition. The only flaw we see is a small chip on the carbon fiber air runner behind the aftermarket turn signal on the left side.

Ready to ride or to display, this Final Edition marks the end of a truly iconic design – it’s a piece of Ducati history.
