In 2005, MV Agusta updated the F4 series with a 998cc engine, which bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour.

The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Nissin brakes, but for many riders the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) stole the show.

This seller of this tastefully-upgraded example (VIN: ZCGAKFGM25V100206) in the rare blue/silver livery is the owner of Corsa Garage, a shop specializing in Tamburni-era Ducati Superbikes. Per the owner, “the MV fits right in with that passion and that same amount of love went into this bike.

The seller acquired it approximately five years ago and has covered around 3,000 miles during that time. The odometer currently shows 17,174 miles.

The owner had this MV serviced at Nichols Sportbikes shortly after acquiring it – the work included an oil/filter change, spark plugs, coolant flush, brake flush, and head cover gasket. Nichols performed a compression test with excellent results of (in psi): 200, 195, 200, and 200. The owner also had the forks serviced (new oil and seals) and set for a rider weight of 185 pounds at Catalyst Reaction Tuning.

Modifications:
MV Agusta Special Parts catalog FGRT front end kit: features the MV Agusta logo machined into the billet bottoms, comes with top triple and handlebars. Original cost was €3,500 (approx. $4,100) and is designed to fit on a 2010+ F4 but the seller installed it with custom machined spacers, lines, Y10 front wheel, and Y10 2 piece carbon fiber front fender. Brembo M4 monobloc calipers.

Ohlins steering damper.

Custom steel braided Venhill brake lines.

Brembo RCS 16 clutch master and custom steel braided Venhill matching clutch line.

Brembo RCS 19 brake master, weighted bar ends.

Rizoma reservoirs with clear fluid lines.

HID headlight.

MotoCorse billet quick release fuel cap.

AEM Racing CNC machined billet rearsets with matching blue anodized caps.

ABM rear rotor.

Match-painted carbon fiber rear tail with exposed carbon and synthetic suede wrapped seat and pad.

Professionally cored exhaust with Arrow Racing cat delete mid pipe and exhaust wrapped.

Carbon exhaust guard.

EVO Fender eliminator, Rizoma LED rear turn signals, LED brake lights.

The kickstand is from a Y10 F4. The seller notes that it “reduces the lean of the bike compared to the stock kickstand, sort of like how you put a 1098 kickstand on a 998. The cool thing is the Y10 kickstand has a MV Agusta logo on it.

Modifications you can’t see include a custom EPROM from Adam Colley, a MV specialist in the UK (some MV fans know him as Merc07) for a more linear power delivery and lower temp fan trigger. “It also deletes the EBS so you can do your own rev matching down shifts. The OEM system wasn’t that great and most enthusiasts would eliminate this.” The rear brake master reservoir has been relocated with heat-sleeved tubing. There is also a Shorai lithium lightweight battery and a throttle spring delete “for a smoother twist and less resistance.” The sale includes an oil filter, 2 spare keys, original catalytic converter, and carbon fiber rear fender.

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this MV is offered on a clean California title with current non-op registration.

Cosmetically this is in excellent condition. We only note some small scratches on left mirror.

There is also rash on the outside of the shifter and brake pedals wish some scuff marks on the frame just above those corresponding areas.
