In 2015, Confederate (now called Combat Motors) announced the second generation of the Combat Fighter.
Called the P51, it took the core concept of gigantic V-Twin power in a stunning billet aluminum frame found in the P120 Combat Fighter and pushed everything to the next level. Per the Combat Motors site, the 2,163cc engine produces 145 horsepower and 160 ft-lb of torque, good for a 160+ top speed if you’re brave eonugh to fight the wind.
In a bike full of striking visual features, one of the most captivating is the double wishbone girder front suspension with fully adjustable Race Tech shock.
Also guaranteed to get your attention are the see-through features, including the 3.75 gallon fuel tank.
Confederate-branded brakes are supplied by Beringer – it’s their impressive 4D Aerotek kit with radial-mount calipers.
Confederate planned on building just 61 examples of the P51 – 30 in anodized black and 31 in raw machined aluminum (they called them “blonde” models). Today we’ve got #22 of the latter. The original owner and seller of this example (VIN: 1C9RP2907HB908022, Engine #: TCX00034) is Anthony Kiedis, founding member/lead vocalist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The odometer shows 172.59 miles.
As you’d expect from a bike with such low mileage (it had only 100 as of last week), it has spent most of its time in a private collection on display. How did it get another ~70 miles? With the seller’s permission, Adam took this for a Sunday Ride to make sure it was road ready for the next owner! As you’ll hear in the below video, Adam says he’s “never seen a bike draw a crowd like this one.”
