Released in 2004, the Thruxton was a factory cafe racer that Visor Down summed it up perfectly: “Triumph’s Thruxton is nostalgia in a bottle…”
The seller of this example (VIN: SMT920K197T315414) acquired it approximately five years ago from a private seller in Minnesota.
During that time, he’s covered approximately 5,000 miles. The odometer now shows 19,894 miles.
This bike was highly customized by a Ducati dealership in Minneapolis, Minnesota on behalf of the previous owner – highlights of the modifications include:
Big bore kit.
Keihin FCR39 carbs from Sudco with pod air filters.
Ohlins shocks and new fork internals (five years ago).
Aftermarket exhaust. The seller had baffles installed to make them user friendly, as “they were open before and way too loud.”
The seller had it maintained by Yoshi at Garage Company. We note a small amount of oil coming out of either the breather hose or the oil feed line underneath it.
Cosmetically, we note paint cracks in the tank and tail.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please schedule an appointment for a viewing), this Thruxton is offered on a clean California title with registration current through May 2021.
