Additional photos of this Aprilia RSV4 X are available here for your perusal.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the RSV4 superbike, Aprilia created a truly iconic machine called the RSV4 X.
Quick tangent – we also happen to have #1 of the RSV4 if you’re looking for a fantastic pair or important Aprilias! It’s never been started or seen a drop of fuel.
In his coverage of this rare Aprilia, our buddy Jensen Beeler of Asphalt & Rubber‘s title was You Can’t Own the Super-Exclusive Aprilia RSV4 X Superbike as “only ten will be made (hence the name), which means the odds are very much not in your favor when it comes to owning this potent machine.” This might be just the second time Jensen has been wrong about something (#1 being his support of Mountain Dew)…as we’ve got #1 of 10 waiting for a new owner.
If the visuals don’t blow you away, the specification list surely will – starting with 222 horsepower from the hand-built 1,078cc V4 engine and a dry weight of just 364 pounds.
The components are as amazing as you’d expect: Ohlins suspension, Akrapovic exhaust, Pirelli tires, and a significant percentage of the Spider Racing catalog.
The X goes above and beyond with Aprilia’s first implementation of a “No Neutral” transmission (neutral is under 1st to eliminate false neutrals between 1st and second) as well as Brembo’s debut of their GP4-MS calipers.
Though it’s #1 of 10, this example is VIN: ZD4K3A0C3LS000002.
We believe that’s because none other than Max Biaggi got the first one, and his has a (non-numbered) top triple clamp.
The odometer shows 1 kilometer. Please note that the screen is slightly blurry as it still has protective film on it.
There’s race gas in the tank and it has been started before. Beyond that, we do not have any history, though it came to us from Italy in a Gresini Racing crate (please see the video at the top of the listing).
