Honda went big in 2001 with the introduction of the VTX1800 – when released it featured the largest displacement production V-twin in the world.
It was good for 90 horsepower and 99 lb-ft of torque, and Cycle World loved it: “For years, we had waited for a metric cruiser that embodied the kind of brute, low-rpm stonk that was supposed to be the trademark of big-inch V-Twins. But not until the VTX did one appear. Snap the throttle open at virtually any rpm in first or second gear and the beast positively lunges forward. Or spins the tire. What fun!”
CW summed it up by saying “Honda’s VTX1800 is a good-looking and, equally importantly, hard-running cruiser that will likely set the direction for boulevard bikes for years to come.” They called it the Best Cruiser of 2001 and have since dubbed it a “Best Used Bike.”

The odometer shows 22,674 miles.

BUB exhaust.
Backrest.
It came to us dusty and as a non-runner, but the seller asked us to clean it up and make it a runner for the auction so we installed a battery and flushed the brake/clutch fluid. We noted that the left fork seal but the seller opted to leave that as is as this is a No Reserve listing. Our White Glove service would be glad to take care of the fork seals for the new owner if he or she wishes.
We note some bubbling in the chrome-plated plastic of the engine and a few rusty bolts.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California, this VTX is offered on a clean California title with non-op registration.
