Description
Additional photos of this Beta Rev 3 270 are available here for your perusal.
For 2000, Beta released the all new Rev 3 as a successor to their popular Techno model. The Rev 3 featured an aluminum frame, upside down fork, dual disc brakes, and water-cooled two-stroke engines in four options: 125, 200, 250, and 270 ccs.
The engines were paired with Paioli suspension, a six-speed transmission, and a Mikuni carb. The biggest option (270) weighs less than 160 pounds dry.
This example is VIN: ZD3B9000030008994.
The seller acquired it two and a half years ago from a private owner in Central California who used it on his ranch. “I was able to make a deal on the faith and hope I could make it California legal.” Since then the seller has put less than four hours on it – “I installed the Works Connection hour meter in the first round of upgrades.”
Modifications:
The VIN confirms that this is a 2003 model, however the plastics appear to be from a 2004 model.
S3 clutch and brake reservoir covers, Jitsie bar ends.
Factory Effex cylinder temperature sticker.
Carbon fiber header protector.
Carbon fiber exhaust protector.
Jitsie magnetic kill switch with lanyard.
DAB Products lower chain guard, Renthal rear sprocket.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
“It has some plastic scratches and few wheel dings, but considering what these bikes are made for it’s not bad.”
The seller notes that “these bikes have a known issue with tight clutch baskets and the fluid needs to be warmed before the clutch will work properly. Parts have been easy to find and the US Beta importer has been very helpful in sourcing any parts I ever needed for the bike.” We also note that the carb float bowl is stuck.
During his ownership, the seller “replaced all the fluids, changed the fuel lines and filter, and installed new fork seals.”
The sale includes fork guards, the original foot pegs, petcock, and engine cover.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California, (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Beta is offered on a clean California title off-road title with green sticker current through June 2021.
