ICONIC PROJECTS: if you follow us on Instagram (and you should!), you know that we’ve recently partnered up with Kamikaze Motorsports in Glenwood, Iowa. One of the many new services that will be coming from our partnership is a series of project bikes for those of you that like to tinker or are looking for a lower entry price to a bike you’ve always wanted for our White Glove service to fix up on your behalf.

The 2003 Z1000 was an all new model for Kawasaki and change in direction for the company that had seen its lineup of bikes begin to stagnate. The new Z1000 was a winner with modern styling on a classic naked bike platform using the tried and true ZX-9R 900cc inline 4 engine – now fitted with fuel injection.
The bike looked sporty for a standard, wearing a similar tail to the ZX6R model and it had very distinctive exhaust pipes that exited on both sides of the bike. An inverted front fork, aluminum swingarm and good geometry made the bike a very sharp handler, especially in tighter city conditions which made it a very popular choice as a daily rider and commuter bike.

Modifications:
DanMoto carbon dual Exhaust.
Aftermarket brake and clutch levers.
Engine case savers on both sides.
Polished wheels and rear stand spools.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
Dent in the fuel tank.
Chip in the paint on right side of tank.
Wear on rear passenger seat.
Corrosion on various bits of engine hardware.
This Z1000 is currently running and the inside of the tank is clean, however it will need a new battery.
