ICONIC PROJECTS: if you follow us on Instagram (and you should!), you know that we’ve recently partnered up with Kamikaze Motorsports in Glenwood, Iowa. One of the many new services that will be coming from our partnership is a series of project bikes for those of you that like to tinker or are looking for a lower entry price to a bike you’ve always wanted for our White Glove service to fix up on your behalf.

When the Yamaha FJ1100 was introduced in 1984, the press went nuts. Rider Magazine called it “the best large displacement sport motorcycle of 1984, and maybe even the best in its class in the history of motorcycling,” and other mags called it Bike of the Year. As other manufacturers debuted big-bore competitors that focused more on sport (like the GSX-R1100), Yamaha pushed the FJ more into the sport-touring category and made it the FJ1200 in 1986.
The 1989 FJ1200 saw small changes to the bodywork and suspension, making slight improvements to the bike while leaving everything else that made it so popular to begin with.

This FJ has a Corbin seat.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
Corrosion on various engine parts and cover.
Rash on right case cover and small scratches on lower belly fairing.
Scratches on left side of fuel tank.
The fuel tank is clean on the inside, the bike is currently not running and will need a new battery.
Currently located at our facility in Glenwood, Iowa. (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Yamaha is offered on a clean title.
