No Reserve – 1973 Kawasaki H2 Project

The king of Kawasaki’s two-stroke triples, the H2 Mach IV has a reputation that has stood the test of the time – Team Green even brought the H2 name back for their insane new supercharged sportbike.

The H2 750 is remembered fondly thanks to a peaky, narrow powerband and handling characteristics that earned it the affectionate nickname of “Widowmaker”. The H2 was capable of knocking out a quarter mile in 12.0 seconds – faster than a Hemi Cuda – thanks to 74 horsepower.

It weighed 423 pounds dry and topped out at 126 miles per hour. For more on the characteristics that gave this bike the Widowmaker moniker, head on over to Motorcycle Classics.

This example is VIN: H2F29612, Engine #: H2E29789. the seller acquired it approximately six years ago from a private party in New Hampshire. His plan was to create a restomod with it but he never found the time and is now moving on.

He has not ridden it at all. The odometer shows 8,338 miles.

The bike has not run while in his possession. The fuel tank is currently dry and we have not tried to start it, it is being sold as a non-running project.

Modifications:
This bike was restored in the past, though we do not have any history on who did the work or what was done.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
The Candy Gold paint looks good overall with only minor blemishes.

Several metal parts show rust or corrosion. Here is a selection, but more examples can be seen in the photo album up top.

It is missing the front brake cable and the throttle grip is almost stuck.

It is riding on Dunlop Gold Seal tires.
