The GSX was an evolution of Suzuki’s GS series, though here in the US we still knew it as the GS. But GSX was the given name in other markets (such as South Africa, where this bike came from).

The 1100 was the biggest of the offerings, and when it debuted in 1979 it was marketed as “the fastest standard motorcycle in the world.”

This example is VIN: GS110X518083, Engine #: GS110X-127679.

The odometer shows 47,333 kilometers (29,411 miles).

This is one of the bikes that we imported from a collection in South Africa. In preparation for the listing, we cleaned and synced the carbs, changed the oil and filter, flushed the brake fluid, installed a new petcock, and installed a new battery – the invoice totaled up to $1,462.38. The technician (Daniel) recommends new tires and notes that the forks are leaking and should be rebuilt.

Modifications:
Cowley exhaust.

Front crash bar.

Rear crash bar.

Battery tender lead.

Cosmetic Blemishes:

Inside of the tank:

The sale includes two ignition keys.

It is riding on Bridgestone Spitfire and Kenda Challenger tires with date codes of 2114 and 0917, respectively.

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Suzuki is offered on a clean Oregon title. Have any GSX stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
