Sport Rider magazine (RIP) debuted the same year as the instant-classic Honda CBR900RR: 1993. In its first issue, SR summed up the RR by saying, “No production motorcycle, with the possible exception of the ZX-11, can provide the quality and quantity of giggles this little Honda can.” Some of that fun came through handling that some riders considered twitchy, so Honda changed things up a bit in 1995.
Specifically, Honda upgraded the suspension and updated the bodywork. Back to Sport Rider – in their 1995 review they said that “All (our testers) felt the changes made a significant improvement and agreed that they could ride more quickly with the same margin for safety on the new machine.”
