Additional photos on this 2014 EBR 1190SX are available here for your perusal.
Streetfighter wasn’t a good enough name for Erik Buell when he debuted the 1190SX. EBR instead called it a “Superfighter”. As noted in this review on Motorcyclist, “The streetfighter classification, which was so revolutionary when we first came to market [with the 1995 S1 Lightning], is now being used by marketing people for all sorts of motorcycles, including some thinly disguised standard bikes that have detuned or obsolete powertrains,” Buell says. “Perhaps a more appropriate name, then, for a bike like our 1190SX is ‘Superfighter.’”
This is the naked sibling to the 1190RX: it showcases a 1190cc V-Twin which produces 185 horsepower and 101 pound-feet of torque, having to push around a bike that weighs 414 pounds. Buell didn’t de-tune anything – all they did was pull off the fairing and replace the clipons with an upright handlebar. That equals full power with additional comfort.
2014 was the first year of the model, and they offered it in four colors. One of the colors (Laguna Blue) was only made in “limited quantities” – per this owner’s Facebook group, just 50 units were built (VINs 105-154) and the paint code is Deltron 2000-932515.
Manufactured in July of 2014, this example is VIN: 546BBAG22EE000112. The seller is a former EBR dealer who purchased it directly from EBR as a collectors item due to the limited nature of the Laguna Blue colorway.
The odometer shows 2.2 miles.
