If you’re not familiar with this monster motard, here’s the short version: in the spring of 2005, Ducati designer Pierre Terblanche pitched management on an extreme street fighter — street performance in a new aesthetic package. The concept bike debuted that fall in Milan. Based on the hugely positive reaction the bike received from motorcyclists around the world, company president Federico Minoli green-lighted the project immediately.
Similar in many respects (steering geometry, wheelbase, seat height, and suspension travel) to the award winning Multistrada, the Hypermotard has changed little since its first appearance. The LED front turn indicators were relocated from the backs of the folding, handlebar-end-mounted mirrors to the neighboring hand guards; the wide, tubular handlebar was raised; the gas tank was widened by half an inch to allow a fuel capacity of nearly 3.3 gallons; the single 320mm front brake rotor was replaced with a pair of 305mm semi-floating discs; and the taillight was mounted higher to meet homologation standards.
As its name suggests, the 1100 is powered by the Ducati’s venerable air-cooled, fuel-injected, two-valve-per-cylinder, desmo V-Twin. Now displacing 1078cc, up from 992cc, the engine produces a claimed 90 horsepower and 76 foot-pounds of torque. Dry weight is said to be 390 pounds. This S version includes standard diamond-like carbon fork coating, reservoir-equipped Öhlins shock, monobloc Brembo brake calipers, red-pinstriped forged Marchesini wheels and Z-rated Pirelli Diablo Corsa III radials.

During the seller’s ownership, he covered roughly 1,900 miles. The odometer shows 7,133 miles.

It is riding on Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires with date codes of 1817 and 4819.
The sale includes the owner’s manual and two keys – the second key has been cut, however it needs to be sync’d to the RFID key ring.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Ducati is offered on a clean California title with registration current through August 2022.
