Please note that this auction is just for the frame/swingarm/subframe for a 1984 Yamaha RZV500R. Our usual buyer’s fee of 7% (minimum $250) applies.
These are particularly special, as the RZV had a hand-welded aluminum frame that saved several pounds (approximately 15) over the corresponding unit found in the RZ500/RD500LC.
The VIN is 51X-002013. We previously sold this frame on our site, but the new owner hasn’t had a chance to utilize it (it’s been at our shop the whole time) so he’s selling it in the hopes that someone can use it for their next project.
We’re hoping the next owner uses this to convert their RD/RZ into a RZV and save some weight in the process, or that it becomes the start of a crazy custom build.
