1994 Honda VFR750F Custom (RC30 Tribute)

Built by James Mott of Hand Made Racers in Australia, this is a Honda VFR750F (RC36) that has been extensively modified to become a tribute/celebration of the legendary Honda RC30.

James took this bike to the next level by also adding some touches to recall Joey Dunlop’s #3 RC30 race bike.

Other modifications include:

Tyga RC30 replica bodywork. “The bodywork does not ‘bolt on’ and needs channeling in the base, the RC seat needs modifying, too.”

RC30 rear wheel running on a NC30 axle.

The forks are modified units from a Honda VTR1000.

The dash is from a Honda CBR900RR, the speedometer drive is for a 900RR so it shows a slower speed than actual while riding.

Tyga exhaust.

Replica Brembo RCS19 clutch master cylinder.

“It was built for fun, it’s not a replica, it’s a lookalike. I like to call them ‘celebration’ bikes – comfortable and quick enough for fun.”

The odometer shows 19,921 miles.

Maintenance:
In preparation for the listing, we cleaned and synced the carbs, flushed the brake fluid, and replaced the carb intake manifold boots. Steve did the work, he notes that the brakes are at 80%/90% front/rear and that the coolant, oil, lights, horn, and kill switch are OK.

It is riding on Avon AV65/Avon Cobra Chrome tires with date codes of 0921 and 2621.
