KTM’s 990 Adventure arrived in 2007 as a replacement for the outgoing 950 model. Like its predecessor, the 990 was built around the Austrian manufacturers’s LC8 engine, a 75-degree water-cooled V-twin. Along with modernizing the bike with fuel injection, KTM also bumped its displacement up to 999cc, resulting in 105hp and 74lb-ft of torque.

But the changes extended beyond engine capacity; elsewhere the 990 got upgrades like fully floating front discs, switchable ABS, and a revised step seat — all intended to make the bike a more livable machine for day-to-day riding.
