In prior years, Husqvarna sold the FE450 as a dual sport but in 2023 the emission and sound restrictions disappeared and the bike was brought back as a closed-course competition enduro. The engine was based off the 2022 FC450 which Dirt Rider reported outputting 53.5 hp at 9,400 rpm and 33.7 pound-feet of torque at 7,900 rpm when they tested it on their dyno.
Other changes include an electronic dashboard, 6-speed transmission, new triple clamp, 2.37 gallon fuel tank, skid plate, head and tail lights, kickstand, and hand guards. The Heritage Edition model outfits the bike with a white frame which disappeared in 2019, a blue seat, and white plastics illustrated with traditional Husqvarna blue and yellow graphics, paying homage to its Swedish roots.
This example is the latest build to come out of the Deus Ex Machina workshop in Venice, California. Built by Ciaran Naran, it is a 3x race machine that tackled the 2023 SCORE Baja 1000, finishing second in the Pro Moto Unlimited Class, and second overall in the Pro Moto Unlimited Class of the 2023 World Desert Championship. The motorcycle features many factory racing parts and was hand painted by the iconic Ornamental Conifer from Race Service in Los Angeles, California. A one of a kind motorcycle with impressive off-road racing history.
Paloma (as the Deus crew affectionately refers to the bike) was constructed and ridden by an exceptionally talented team:

The uniqueness of this machine goes beyond the success on the track and the beautiful parts (many of which are unobtainable by the general consumer and reserved for the professional racer). The true value is the countless hours and days spent in the workshop, dyno rooms and most importantly out in the desert. This is where testing different parts, combinations of suspension, gearing, transmissions, ECU settings, brake caliper diameters, chassis materials, 1 of 1 custom fabricated components, and more culminates into a race proven package capable of withstanding the longest, nonstop, point to point, off road race in the world — The Baja 1000.
This example is VIN: VBKUAN431PM309932. The seller purchased the bike from AEO Powersports in Murrieta, California and is selling to fund future races.
