The Suzuki X6 Hustler, also called the T20 Super Six, was an instant hit with riders who loved high-performance engines in lightweight bikes. The 247cc engine was capable of hitting over 100hp/liter (about 29 horsepower), and the bike was packed with plenty of technology, including the first 6-speed transmission used in a production motorcycle!
Weighing just 316 pounds, the Hustler was capable of hitting over 90 miles per hour. The advanced technology helped boost sales – at its peak, Suzuki was selling 5,000 X6’s a month. The Hustler lasted for 3 years and a total of 35,500 were sold. In future years, GT and Scrambler versions were also added as options.
This example is VIN: T2010022; Engine: T2011780. The seller has owned the bike for approximately six months. He obtained it in trade for work being completed on a 1972 Honda CB350F. He is selling the bike to fund other projects.
During his ownership, the seller has covered approximately 100 miles. The odometer shows 9,572 miles.
Maintenance:
The seller states, “I replaced worn transmission gears, new crankshaft oil seals and shifter seal. While the engine was apart had cases/cylinder/heads vapor blasted, and engine side covers polished. Carbs were gone though and synchronized. Fork seals replaced. Seat cover replaced 3 years ago. Gauge lighting repairs. It could use tires, chain, and sprocket replacement.”
It is riding on Dunlop Gold Seal tires which are aged out.
