At the turn of the millennium, the MV Agusta brand was revived with the release of a new flagship, the 750cc F4. Penned by the great Massimo Tamburini, the F4 boasted a ground-breaking design that redefined the modern superbike. In the years that followed, the F4 underwent a series of revisions and model updates, though the bike’s incredible aesthetics went largely unchanged.
Underneath the proverbial hood, however, progress was constant. In 2005, MV Agusta updated the F4 series with a 998cc engine, which bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour.
The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Nissin brakes, but for many riders the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) stole the show.
Manufactured June 2010, this example is VIN: ZGCCGFTW4AV001282. The seller has owned the bike since October 2022 and states, “I bought the bike from an auction as a wreck with a salvage title – I have paperwork from the auction and insurance to verify the VIN. This was my first Italian “exotic”. It took almost 2 years to locate the dash which was missing and it won’t run without it. Once I located a dash and immobilizer chip, it fired up without hesitation. From there it was more hours of searching world wide for parts from eBay and FB Marketplace etc., eventually finding everything I needed. Finally ordering body work from Brno, Czech Republic, and having it painted, it was fit to the bike and it was ready to ride. I put it out on a track day and was impressed by the power and handling. It performed perfectly. This bike will serve someone well if they’re looking to show up at track days with something different, a track weapon in reliable shape and nice to look at. It certainly brings a lot of comments and conversation as soon as it comes out of the trailer. It is ready to go, all it needs is gas and rider. “

Maintenance:
Per the seller, “The bike has been completely gone through and is mechanically sound. I rode it myself at a recent track day, it ran perfectly, steers well, brakes well. Fresh oil and filter change, air filter serviced and new tires. Clutch and all controls perform well. Emission control motor/system removed. It maybe could use a set of spark plugs as I have no idea how old they are.”
