Please note: The seller is managing the sale of this collection on behalf of the owner’s estate. He has represented each bike to the best of his ability and will be unable to provide further history or supporting documentation. The bike does not currently run and the seller cannot confirm mechanical condition. He has provided a walk around video and is selling the bike as-is. A local dealership will be providing the Bill of Sale; all fees (with the exception of Iconic’s buyer’s fee) and taxes will be accounted for by the dealer.
In the US, Hercules is probably best known as the first company to sell a Wankel-engined bike to the public – the Wankel 2000. The German firm started building bikes in 1905 and after WWII the company re-started, producing milk churns first then bicycles.
In the 1950s the company manufactured a variety of small displacement bikes ranging from 50cc to 250cc powered by Sachs and JLO engines. The K101 sold from 1959-63 with a 97cc engine, 3-speed gearbox, and 5.2hp.
This example is VIN: L149650; Engine: 3086113. The owner purchased the bike from a private party February 2012.
The odometer shows 3,629 kilometers (2,254 miles), however the seller cannot confirm accuracy.
Maintenance:

Inside of the tank:

The sale includes one key. There is no supporting documentation.
