As the son and nephew of successful dirt track riders Dave and Paul Bostrom (and brother of fellow competitor Ben Bostrom), Eric Bostrom was born with motorcycle racing in his blood.
While Eric was probably best known for his time with Kawasaki’s factory team from ’99-’03, he raced for Erion Honda in 1998. That was the first year of his AMA Superbike career, as he was brought on to replace Miguel Duhamel, who broke his leg in a crash while qualifying at Loudon on a Honda RC45. Bostrom would go on to place 3rd in AMA Supersport and 1st in AMA Formula Xtreme that year.
Eric absolutely dominated that season, winning nine of the eleven races on a Erion Honda CBR900RR. That added to his 1997 Harley-Davidson Super Twins Championship as well as his eventual 2001 AMA Supersport Championship, not to mention several races in World Superbike and AMA Superbike.
The seller states that this helmet was purchased new in 2004. He adds that it was subsequently “signed at an Indy MotoGP event during a race from the 2008-2010 seasons.”
Cosmetic Blemishes:
