Description
Click here for an VINData Motorcycle History Report on this 2005 Yamaha FZ6. Additional photos are available here for your perusal.
With its roots tracing back to the beloved FZS600 Fazer, the FZ6 was designed to offer a fresh take on sport riding while maintaining practicality for everyday use. The middleweight was offered either faired or naked and built around Yamaha’s R6 motor.
The 599cc inline-four engine produces approximately 98 bhp at 12,000 rpm and 49 ft-lb of torque at 10,000 rpm. This powerplant is housed in a lightweight cast aluminum chassis with an upright riding position. The overall package has been praised by fans for both commuting through city streets or carving up mountain roads.
This example is VIN: JYARJ08E15A004351. The seller purchased the bike four years from a private party and states, “This was my starter bike. At the beginning of 2020 I started practicing riding and got my license and towards the end of the year, I bought this bike. I took a train from NYC to Rhode Island to look at it. I bought it and rode it back. I had some great times on the bike. I took it upstate to Peekskill a bit and then in 2023, the company I was working for moved me out to LA. They paid for the bike to be professionally moved to LA and I’ve had it here for a year. Had a few nice rides on Mulholland and Angeles Crest. I left my company about a month ago to move back to the east coast and I can’t afford to bring the bike with me or I’d keep it. It runs great and is pretty low mileage for something that’s almost 20 years old. If you keep up the maintenance, there’s no reason it couldn’t run great for another 20 years.”
During his ownership the seller has covered approximately 1,628 miles. The odometer shows 23,985 miles.
