With a pedigree in racing dating back to the early 70’s, Moriwaki Engineering was a Japanese motorcycle manufacturer and tuner company that started from a gentleman with the same namesake: Mamoru Moriwaki. The Japanese company specialized in race-oriented engines, motorcycles, and parts, making waves in the industry with their close ties to the Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Made as an entry into the world of road-racing and track days, the MH80R was largely based off of Honda’s success in the small-displacement market at the time. Powered by Honda’s CR80 engine, the MH80R took some strong cues from motorcycles such as the NS-1, and the Moriwaki was good for around 7-8 horsepower, offering similar numbers for torque at peak RPMs.

Originally, the MH80R was offered in the Japanese market, but some folks that had to get their hands on this compact racer went through the trouble to import these models to the states.

This example is VIN: MH80RF96076. The seller purchased the bike at an auction in Japan 10 years ago and states, “This was the Miyabee Plus mini moto track day bike. Has not been used for several years so letting it go to someone who can get it back out on track. The Moriwaki MH80R is a fun bike for a beginner or even more experienced riders.”

There is no odometer, true mileage unknown. During her ownership, the seller has covered approximately 300 miles during her ownership.
