Designed by Luciano Marabese for the 75th anniversary of the MG factory, the Moto Guzzi Centauro was a limited production model designed as a sporty variant of the classic Italian cruiser with very distinctive bodywork – bodywork that the factory advertised as being 100% recyclable.

It might be apropos to call it an Italian V-Max – the 992cc 4 valve 90 degree DOHV v-twin in the Centauro also powered the very sporty Daytona RS. Although the Daytona had 102 ponies, the Centauro was slightly detuned at 95 horsepower and a top speed of 130 miles per hour. The Centauro also shared a frame with the Daytona RS and both bikes sported the Brembo gold series braking system, Marchesini rims, WP rear shock absorber and upside-down forks.

Want to learn more? Head over to the Centauro Owners Group (COG) for all the information you could want. According to the COG, just 1,918 Centauros were ever built, 527 of which were in 1998.

Manufactured in March 1998 this example is VIN: ZGUKKAKK1WM113039.

The odometer shows 11,162 miles.
