After World War II, the Russians basically looted a BMW assembly line and installed it in their home country. The Ural plant gradually expanded into a gigantic Soviet collective-style factory producing every component of every bike, employing 10,000 people and producing upwards of 130,000 bikes a year for the domestic market.
This specific bike is a unique custom build from Ural themselves. Based on a Gear-Up, the company painted the machine Northwest Grey and added all sorts of tasteful touches such as, a GPR exhuast, Polyurethane undercoating, sidecar bumpers, Jerry can mount, cylinder head covers, skit plate, and more.
