In 2004, Aprilia updated their excellent RSV1000R sportbike to the second generation with a bevy of upgrades, most notably the 60-degree V90RR magnesium motor.

It also got dual exhausts, tweaks to the chassis, and new styling.

The base model was called the RSV1000R, but the one you wanted was the Factory.

Why? In addition to the special livery, the Factory gained Ohlins suspension and OZ wheels.

Manufactured in February 2004 this example is VIN: ZD4RRC0114S000241. This bike came to us from our friend, the owner of Moto Forza in Escondido CA. The seller states “It was traded in to us by a long time, older customer. It is very well maintained and performs beautifully. Cosmetically it is not quite a 100 point bike, but it is exceptionally clean. If it does not sell on Iconic, I may keep it for my own collection. Definitely worthy to be in a collection.”

The odometer shows 4,409 miles, however the seller states “this generation Aprilia is known to reset to odometer when battery has gone dead. Dash shows 4,409 miles. Title shows 34,637 miles. True mileage is unknown but should be assumed to be 35,000+ miles.”

Maintenance:
The seller states “none required. Runs perfect & sounds glorious! No leaks, and the fork seals are good. Tires have lots of life left.”
Modifications:
Akrapovič exhaust.

CRG adjustable brake & clutch levers.

It is riding on Michelin Power tires with date codes of 4420 and 0321.

The sale includes two keys, and “a brand new, never installed fuel tank is included with the sale.”
