Born as the baby to the BMW R1150GS, the BMW F650GS has a long and credible pedigree, including a string of variants. The BMW F650 has off-road pretensions but, in the real world, is also a sturdy and sensible road motorcycle, it deals with most situations with predictable power and confidence.
The BMW F650GS was the first single-cylinder BMW made since the 1960s and the first chain driven bike from the Motorrad. One of BMWs best selling bikes, it was a dual sport that was offered in 3 flavors – standard, lowered, and the Dakar.
The F650GS separated itself from the multitude of Japanese competition at the time with features like fuel injection, a Nikasil-lined cylinder, and ABS.
