Arturo Magni is best known for his long tenure as race director for MV Agusta, where he oversaw 37 World Championships. After leaving MV, he founded Magni and began producing limited production motorcycles that combined Italian craftsmanship with exotic engineering. By the 1990s, Magni had partnered with Moto Guzzi, using the Daytona’s 992cc four-valve V-twin as the basis for a new line of performance machines. The Magni Australia was one of the rarest results of that partnership, built in very small numbers and named in honor of Australian distributor Bob Brown, who helped bring Magni’s Moto Guzzi projects to market.

This 1994 Magni Australia is powered by a Daytona-sourced 992cc air-cooled OHC V-twin with Weber Marelli electronic fuel injection, paired with a 5-speed transmission and shaft drive. Period equipment includes Termignoni carbon-fiber slip-ons, Forcelle Italia adjustable forks, a WP monoshock, Brembo triple-disc brakes, and three-spoke alloy wheels. Clip on handlebars and rear-set foot controls deliver a sporty riding position.

Magni built very few Australias, and surviving examples are seldom seen on the market today. With its combination of Guzzi’s muscular V-twin and Magni’s boutique chassis development, the Australia offers both rarity and character in equal measure. For collectors and riders alike, it represents a unique chapter in Italian motorcycling history from one of the most respected names in racing.

This example is VIN: 1D9MAGN15R1092011.

The odometer shows 4,842 Kilometers, 3,008 miles.
