Introduced in 1984, the RD350F was Yamaha’s fully faired evolution of the RZ/RD series and one of the last two stroke sportbikes sold for the street. Powered by a liquid cooled 347cc parallel twin with the Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS), it produced a claimed 59 horsepower with its high revving performance that defined the RD line.
Beyond the engine, the RD350F brought modern sportbike features that pushed it ahead of its predecessors. The full fairing with integrated rectangular headlight and windscreen gave it a contemporary look, while clip-on handlebars, opposed piston disc brakes front and rear, and alloy wheels underscored its performance intentions. The chassis featured a double cradle steel frame, and a five way adjustable rear shock.
Although produced for just a short time, the RD350F represented the culmination of Yamaha’s street legal two stroke development. It was a standout in the mid 1980s sportbike market, and today it remains a highly desirable model among collectors and two stroke enthusiasts.

Maintenance:
In preparation for the listing, Iconic performed a safety inspection, we fitted new tires, changed the transmission oil (80w90), serviced and adjusted the drive chain, flushed and replaced the coolant, flushed and replaced the front and rear brake fluid, cleaned and sync’d the carbs, replaced the spark plugs, and fitted a new battery.Our service department notes the following on their condition report:
