After a long series of 916-based superbikes, Ducati dramatically mixed things up styling-wise with the vertically-stacked lights and double-sided swingarm of the 999 in 2003.
The styling was polarizing but the riding experience was not. And while the base model was a quality machine, the up-spec S model came with a slight bump in power/torque (141 hp, 82.5 lb-ft), Ohlins 43mm forks, and the option for a second seat (“bi-posto”).
Ducati gifted the 999 several updates for the 2005-2006 bikes, including a color-matched frame and an updated/braced swingarm. Improvements specific to the S model in 2005 included a power bump from 136 hp to 143 hp and the addition of radial-mounted Brembo calipers .

During his ownership, the seller has covered 18 miles. The odometer shows 4,926 miles.

It is riding on the original Michelin tires with date codes of 1805 and 2305.
