Offering a balance between comfort and performance, the Triumph Daytona 1200 was a sport-touring motorcycle that was manufactured from 1993 to 1996.
During this time, most major motorcycle manufacturers entered a gentlemen’s agreement to cap horsepower at 125. Triumph decided that when they were going to bring the bikes back from the new plant in Hinckley, that the best way for them to get attention was to ignore said agreement: enter the 147 horsepower of the Daytona’s liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 1180cc inline-four.
A year after the bike went out of production, Triumph brought back the 1200 for a limited Special Edition run of just 250. Many of these machines have been documented over the years on Triumph Rat with an unofficial registry which started in 2007 and is still being updated!
All the Special Edition bikes were adorned in a beautiful black and gold livery. It also came with individually numbered plates on the headstock and 6-piston caliper brakes from the Daytona Super III.

“Recently serviced, including rebuilding all 4 carburetors, new OEM airbox snorkels and new OEM throttle cable and in solid running order. New RH fairing label “supplied” for use. All paperwork for parts replaced.”
The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues.

“Rear turn signals replaced with non-OEM. One was broken in storage at stem, thus both replaced with closet match from Triumph Dealer. OEM version not available..”

It is riding on the original Bridgestone Battlax BT-50 tires with date codes of 108 and 138.
The sale includes two keys, the Owner’s Manual, rear cowling, and the Motorcycle Service Handbook.

“The RH fairing has some spot scratches in the plastic below and across the “Y” on label “DAYTONA”. A new “Daytona” RH fairing label is included in the sale, should new owner wish to repair fairing. There are some minor scratches on each side mirror and RH front turn signal. The bike has not been wrecked or laid down from riding.”
