Introduced in July 2007 for the 2008 model year, the 1125R was Buell’s sportbike foray with a Rotax 1,125cc V-Twin engine that produced a claimed 146 horsepower.
In addition to moving away from Harley-Davidson Sportster engines, the 1125R had several features that were relatively rare at the time – fuel in frame, eight-piston front caliper on a perimeter rotor, belt final drive, and an under-engine exhaust.
One of the most distinctive features is the ZTL2 (Zero Torsional Load) front brake system, which features a gigantic 375mm disc and 8-piston calipers.
