Please note #2: This bike is a part of the Northern California Superbike Collection. The anonymous owner is well-known and a long-term friend of both Iconic and Bike-urious. All proceeds will go towards a foundation he and his wife run to further research for sustainable agricultural and agroforestry systems worldwide.

When Ducati introduced the Multistrada, it deliberately blurred the lines between sport bike, tourer, and dual sport. The 1100S variant, the final and most refined version of the air cooled generation, embodied that “many roads” philosophy with unmistakable Ducati character. It shared DNA with the 1000DS but received a host of improvements, including Öhlins suspension, carbon fiber trim, and subtle updates that made it a more complete and confident all rounder.

At its heart was Ducati’s 1,078cc twin, producing a claimed 95 horsepower and 76 ft-lbs of torque. The engine’s broad, linear power delivery, combined with the bike’s trellis frame and aluminum single sided swingarm, made it equally happy carving canyons or cruising long distances. Riders praised its commanding ergonomics, excellent ground clearance, and the playful torque that could lift the front wheel almost at will.

The 1100S wasn’t an adventure bike in the GS or KTM sense, but that was never the point. Its versatility came from its balance. Upright comfort without sacrificing agility, real world torque without excess weight, and high end Öhlins components that gave it superb handling on pavement. It was a bike that looked unusual, felt unique, and rode beautifully. The last and best of Ducati’s air cooled Multistradas before the model evolved into something altogether different.

This example is VIN: ZDM1VACP19B022616.

The odometer shows 5.035 miles.
